You’ll be inspired by the true story of a group of high school theater students who use their passion for art and performance to overcome adversity.
Doors open at 6 PM and the movie starts at 7.
Food and drinks included with ticket.
Admission to the Silver Screen Gala is included with a Weekend Pass.
Enjoy all the festivities, then we’ll settle in together for Purple Dreams, the night’s moving and powerful feature film.
When a public school in North Carolina is chosen to be the first high school to perform the Broadway musical The Color Purple, its hardworking theater students leap at the opportunity. Even when facing adversity like homelessness and hunger outside the school, the students remain dedicated to their performance, drawing on their own experiences to bring the play's heavy, mature themes to life. Purple Dreams is an inspirational story that explores the power of finding purpose and passion in art.
Purple Dreams is in English. This is a 21+ event
