In 1957, a mysterious giant metal robot falls to Earth from space, landing near Rockwell, Maine. When nine-year-old Hogarth Hughes discovers the giant robot hiding in the forest, he befriends it, finding metal for it to eat and reading his Superman comics to it. But Hogarth isn't the only one to notice the alien visitor. A government agent has arrived in Rockwell to investigate the rumors of a suspected Russian attack, and he will not let anyone or anything stop him from finding and destroying the Iron Giant. Can Hogarth save his new friend before the agent destroys it -- and the entire town of Rockwell along with it?

The Iron Giant is rated PG.
